How to make quick molten lava cake

There will be an image here as soon as AJ makes it possible : )

There is a dessert in South America called "sucha pudding" (vulture pudding) which is a lot like molten lava cake, except it's not a state-secret-super-complicated dessert to make. I don't have the recipe for this version of molten lava cake, but I did just figure out an easy, cheaty way to make lava cake. And here is the secret:

  • Buy a box of brownie mix.

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.

  • Put half the box of mix in a bowl and add an egg and a few tablespoons of half and half. Stir till it forms a thick paste.

  • Spread this mix into an oiled cake pan.

  • Sprinkle the remaining brownie mix onto the paste mix.

  • Pour 3/4 cup of boiling water evenly over the dry mix. Place in oven.

  • Bake for 35 to 45 minutes.

This molten lava cake is rightfully called "vulture pudding" because folks will pounce on it and devour it like it was carrion.
