Hammering in a tight spot

Suppose you have a tiny narrow space where you need to drive a nail?

For example, suppose you wanted to hang a broom on the wall by the refrigerator, but you forgot to put the nail in the wall before you moved the refrigerator back into its place after cleaning behind it? (Just hypothetically speaking, of course!)

Here's how to do it, without having to move the appliance, or for any time when you need to hammer in a tight spot.

Simply turn the hammer sideways, as shown in the photo, and hammer as usual. It's a simple solution, but one that just might not occur to you, so there you go, and now you know!
